    Montgomery Honor
Jim Montgomery, whose third period natural hat trick led Maine
to a 5-4 national championship game win over Lake Superior in
1993, will have his number 19 retired before Friday night's
game against Providence.

Montgomery is currently a locked-out member of the Montreal
Canadiens, having been traded to his hometown team by St. Louis
last summer. His 301 career points make him Maine's all-time
leading scorer.

This will be the second Black Bear number to be retired. Scott
Pellerin, who was Maine's first Hobey Baker Award winner, received
the same honor during the 1992-93 season.
