Having been in St. John's, I can tell you that it would be horrible
for hockey, as the sightlines have been made for basketball. First
of all, it would prob. have a small rink (St. John's seats don't go
back very far), secondly, seeing the ends of the rink/the corners
would be very difficult as the rink would cut into the corners.
Also, upper-deck endzone/corner seats would not allow much of a view
        of the ice.

The corner seats are marked...the areas where the goals will be are in
coves at the ends...which would make the corners/goals difficult to see.
SJA would be pretty poor for hockey. OSU should think about playing in
the Fairgrounds Coliseum more.
