Well, you can see that special teams was the difference here. WMU scored 3
power-play goals and tied the game on a short-handed goal. OSU had one power
play goal, the other three were even-strength. Kurt Brown continues to play
well in goal for the Bucks (he's a freshman...of course) and probably saved
OSU's butt a few times stopping 36 of 40 shots. It will be interesting to see
if Welsh continues to rotate Askey and Brown or if Brown will get the start
again tonight against Michigan State. OSU has allowed 6 short-handed goals
this season and scored none. Last season, Rob Schriner (now with the Columbus
Chill of the ECHL) scored 6 shorthanders on his own. Note the stellar
attendence figures. :-) Sigh.
