Vermont fans are irate at the "poor sportsmanship" shown by Cornell coach Mike
Schafer in twice calling Vermont players for illegal sticks in the closing
minutes of Saturday's game
(see http://uscollegehockey.com/messboard/messages/message26.html).
Apparently, Vermont assistant coach Roger Grillo said following the game that
there is an "unwritten rule" that coaches would not use this rule to their
advantage (was Grillo an assistant when former Vermont coach Jim Cross invoked
the rule?).
Schafer and UVM coach Mike Gilligan did not shake hands following the game.
Who is the bad guy here?
