Gee, first they (the B.O.T) gave us hockey, and now Jimmy Collins.
How profound. :p Maybe I'll apply for a trustee position.
Hopefully, it won't take 16 years for a Division I program to return
to UIC. I'd would love to see any future profit dollars generated by
basketball put towards restarting the hockey program and having a
second major sport on campus. However, now that basketball has control
of the practice facility, that's a longshot.
Do you think the BOT will try to get hockey more established at UIUC
now that the UIC program has been placed six feet under?
