Unless there's another Tardif playing for Peoria, that was Patrice.
The Bangor Daily News reported Thursday that Tardif had two points
in his debut with the Peoria Rivermen. Tardif signed with Peoria
last Monday and had a goal and an assist in Tuesday night's game
against the Indianapolis Ice. Tardif's contract is for $500 per
game. The Rivermen had 10 regular season games left after Tuesday's
game.
Tardif, who was a fifth-year student at the University of Maine,
withdrew from his classes. He had been working toward a master's
degree in accounting.
Tardif ended his career at UMaine with 72 goals and 72 assists
in 146 games. This season he had 18 goals and 15 assists in 34
games for the Black Bears.
The Rivermen lost their game against the Ice, by the way. The
score was 6-3.
