Well, three of us drove up to Hamilton to watch the game. I would
have to agree with all of Arthur Mintz's assertions about the officiating.
By the way, before a couple of the faceoffs that were held at the wrong spots,
the officials had lengthy conferences deciding where to hold them.
I've never seen Starr Rink so full of people. The Colgate fans
(at least the ones sitting near us) once again impressed me -- **NOT** --
with their imaginative cheering. I liked especially the abuse they heaped
on Steve Wilson when he was flat on the ice after being shaken up ... I
guess they didn't want to be like the "geeky" Cornell fans who applauded
politely when a Colgate player skated off after being injured (hey, we
didn;t even really laugh when the trainer accidentally hauled down one of
his "escorts" en route to the injured player).
On a more positive note, I was really impressed with the play of
Colgate freshman Mike Harder. He looks to be a real "find."
