The Boston Bruins announced yesterday the signing of former
Michigan State standout, and 1993 Hobey Baker Finalist, Brian
Smolinski, to a 3 year deal.  Terms of the contract were not
disclosed.
 
Smolinski was the Bruin's First Round draft pick in 1990.
He'll report to Boston on Fri. and may see his first NHL
action against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh
Penguins on Saturday.
