I spoke with BU coach Jack Parker today and gained some
information on J,P. McKersie that was contrary to what I was
originally led to believe. McKersie had his skull
fractured in a car accident July 28th requiring six
hours of brain surgery.
However, he is doing really, REALLY well. Much better than I
had been told by other people in the department. Parker
said he should be returning to BU to resume taking classes
for the spring semester starting in Januaruyxxxx January.
Also, they will medical redshirt him this year, but they
think he can attempt a comeback in the 1995-96 season.
Considering the shape he was in after the accident this
is quite unbelievible if you ask me. The fact that
he could ostensibly resume a normal life by new year's
is really something. Hope hes right.
