steve,
am also an ecac person
just tired of the hype he gets
few programs in the country have the traditions of cornell, clarkson,
rpi,slu,harvard etc.
I think what you have to keep in mind is that the ecac does it right
our second division teams are some of the better academic schools in the
country...also as I mentioned previously there are no perenial doormats in
the ecac as there are in the other three
92 final lake state over wisconsin...the infamous referee incident
I think Jack Parkers reputation speaks for itself...look at the way he
shamelessly lobbied against Maine this year
ever notice the yale-uvm connection and the usuak lack of success of the two
programs
by the way isn't it terrific the way union has worked out...3rd year in the
league and they finished in the top half and recieved a play-off by
remember this is a program in division three that only considered ncaa
appearences to mean a succesfull season and sent several players on to pro
hockey, while maintaining ivey like academics...the rpi rivalry has worked
out well for everyone...without scholarsips(and not being an ivy) don't
expect to see them top half every year, but don't expect to see them in the
basement either. This is one of the best run programs in the country...they
have tremendous resources(institution wise)...maybe the best($$$$)of any non
scholarship school in the country(maybe even better than some of the
scholarship schools)
ps UNION's recruiting class this year may be even better than last years,
when they played 11 freshman every night
army who?
Hockey East needs to decide what its priorities are...
a good example or two are:
Providences hiring mess
Maine probation
BU and shameless lobbying
BC coaching mess
BC being way over scholarshipped(can't use the baseball team any more boys)
