Another note --
Tom Noble's performance in goal was solid. Near the end of last season,
he was looking rather shaky in a few games, which led to Michel Larocque
goaltending in some back-to-back games. Noble had a few impressive
saves, as did the backup goaltender for RPI.
Re: Greenie's question about the banner-raising before the game -- the
Beanpot, Hockey East champions, and NCAA Final Four banners were raised
by the fathers of last year's captain and alternate captains (Billy
Pierce, Shawn Bates, and Chris Drury). (I'm assuming the women who were
with these men on the ice are the captains' moms; they weren't
acknowledged, though!)
