From Charlie Walters' column in the St. Paul Pioneer Press today:
"While Duluth East's Dave Spehar, who has committed to the hockey
Gophers, is considered the top high school forward in the state, the
Gophers' other recruiting target is the top-regarded defenseman, Ben Clymer
of Bloomington Jefferson. Minnesota already has made a scholarship offer to
Clymer, who is expected to visit schools across the nation. Clymer recently
returned from the 17-and-under junior competition in Japan.
"The Gophers have also made an offer to defenseman Mike Lyons of St. Paul
Johnson."
