BAUER/CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kevin Hilton, a junior center from
the University of Michigan, has been selected the Bauer/CCHA Offensive Player
of the Week for his performance the weekend of February 17-18, 1995. He played
junior hockey for Detroit Compuware of the North American Junior Hockey League
and was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1993 National Hockey League
entry draft.
Hilton, a 5-10, 179-pound native of Monroe, Michigan, had six points (three
goals, three assists) in Michigan's victories over Bowling Green and Michigan
State. In Friday's 4-3 win, Hilton had two points, while in Saturday's 7-1
victory, he had four points (two goals, two assists). He assisted on the game-
winning goal in both Wolverine wins.
COOPER/CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Larry Moberg, a junior goaltender
from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, has been selected the Cooper/CCHA
Defensive Player of the Week for the weekend of February 17-18, 1995. He
played junior hockey for the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Moberg, a 5-8, 160-pound native of Innisfail, Alberta, helped Alaska Fairbanks
defeat Miami 6-2 Saturday night. He stopped 29 of 31 Redskin shots for a .935
saves percentage, including all 14 shots in the second period as Fairbanks
rallied from a 1-0 deficit. Moberg's 18 appearances ties his single-season
best which he accomplished last season.
