CANSTAR/CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mike Knuble, a senior right wing
from the University of Michigan, has been selected Canstar/CCHA Offensive
Player of the Week for his performance the weekend of December 9-10, 1994. He
played junior hockey for the Kalamazoo Junior K-Wings (NAJHL) and was selected
by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1991 National Hockey League entry draft.
Knuble, a 6-2, 224-pound native of Caledonia, Michigan, had four goals (the
first three of the game) in the Wolverines 7-2 victory at Ohio State on Friday,
while in Saturday's 4-3 road victory against Western Michigan he again scored
Michigan's first goal of the game on a power play.
CANSTAR/CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sean Kulick, a sophomore goaltender
from Lake Superior State University, has been selected Canstar/CCHA Defensive
Player of the Week for the weekend of December 9-10, 1994. He played junior
hockey for the Michigan Nationals of the NAJHL.
Kulick, a 5-10, 175-pound native of Riverview, Michigan, recorded both
victories in Lake Superior's weekend sweep of Ferris State. On Friday, Kulick
stopped all 15 Bulldog shots as he recorded his second career shutout. In
Saturday's game, he had a .941 saves percentage (stopping 16 of 17 shots) in
allowing only one Ferris State goal.
