The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for November 16, 1994:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Well, so much for the relative consensus of the first few weeks. With four
of the top five teams (and 11 of the top 15) suffering at least one defeat
last weekend, there was bound to be a considerable shakeup in the HOCKEY-L
poll. The biggest jump was recorded by Michigan, as the Wolverines beat
ranked teams Michigan State and Bowling Green to move into the #3 spot, a
gain of five places. Despite that loss, the Spartans took over the top spot
in the rankings.
This week's total of 32 responses is the highest in HOCKEY-L poll history.
Thirty different teams received votes this week, which is probably a record
high as well.
