If Adam Coole is needed, he'll be in a Minnesota-Duluth hockey uniform next
season. That's what he told UMD's coaches this week in accepting a
scholarship.
The 1998 all-state goalie from Duluth East expects to play a second year
with Rochester (Minn.) in the United States Hockey League and come to UMD
in 2000-2001. But if UMD starting goalie Brant Nicklin gets a professional
hockey offer, Coole would start school this fall. Nicklin, a junior, is a
free agent who was scouted this winter by National Hockey League teams.
