From the Gutterson Field house this evening, Clarkson came in and played a
very good physical game. They jumped out to a 1 - 0 lead in the first
period on a goal by Todd White. UVM tied the score in the second on Eric
Perrins 99th career goal, tying him for the UVM all time scoring record.
In the third, Todd White popped in a rebound to score the game winner.
<to be honest, I am naming the Clarkson goal scorers from memory, and I
may be wrong>
The reffing this evening was very fair and consistent. Clarkson took
advantage of very aggressive forechecking. The first Clarkson goal was
scored on a power play, the result of a nice passing sequence. The UVM
goal was scored on a feed from St Louis to Perrin, sending him in alone on
Dan Murphy. The winning goal was a scramble in front of Thomas, with the
puck squirting to the open corner. where White popped it home.
