I'm taking a poll regarding NATIONAL awards. The national poll I've
taken the last two years have gotten a pretty good response. I hope
this one does as well.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
GOALIE OF THE YEAR
COACH OF THE YEAR
1) Vote for your TOP 3 candidates in each category. Please rank them in
order; unranked ballots will not be counted. Also, if you only
feel you know the best or 2 best, feel free to omit a #3 if
necesary.
2) Please keep in mind that this is a NATIONAL award. Try to think and
vote nationally and keep in mind players from all 4 of the leagues
(and independents).
3) Please vote responsibly. I will not disqualify ridiculous ballots. I will
count all votes except for those discussed in #1 and those which
don't apply (ie you vote for a forward for goalie of the year). However,
for the integrity of this poll, please vote responsibly. This isn't
NHL All-Star balloting... don't vote for someone who's been injured all
year.
4) NOTE: Unlike my conference awards poll, goalies WILL be eligible for
the player of the year award.
5) Awards should be based on REGULAR SEASON performance only.
6) Please include the players team and first name, if you know them.
7) Please include everything about the player that you know. Requisite
info is: player name, team. If you don't know the first name or
team of the player, please send as much info as you know. Chances
are, I'll be able to figure out who you mean (but will send
confirmation back to make certain). I know that often times,
people are totally sure of names, especially with coaches, but they
know who they mean. I'll do the best I can.
8) Unlike the Hobey Baker Award, this award is based on performance not
MVP status.
9) Deadline is Friday March 25 at noon.
I will repost this poll a couple other times in the future.
