On the subject of Clarkson's "Let's go Tech" chant -- Clarkson has actually
changed names TWICE. In the mid 60's, ('64 +/- 1) the name was changed from
"Clarkson College of Technology" to simply "Clarkson College". That was while
I was a 'techer', and I personally believe part of the tradition of the chant
was a subtle protest against the name change. There was a decided emphasis on
the word *TECH*. I'm not sure whether the reference to "Techers" and "teching"
(studying for exams) was used prior to the 60's, but it was universal when
I was there ('63-'67).
