Just talked to a SUNY playoff coach about their format. Here
are the details:
1. Two game series + (if necessary 15 minute mini-game)
2. Games will end in a tie if tied after regulation.
3. 2 points win - 1 tie - 0 loss. obviously.
4. If the two teams split (are tied in points) after
the two games, then -
5. resurface - 15 minute mini game (Sat. nite.)
6. If tied after mini - game - resurface - 20 minute
sudden death - until you have a winner.
7. resurface after every 20 minute extra period. - WOW
if it gets that far.
Potsdam at Fredonia
Oswego at Plattsburgh
Fri 2/25 - game #1
Sat 2/26 - game #2

In the ECAC WEST THIS LAST WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON :
Mercyhurst at Elmira Fri 2/25/94
If Mercyhurst wins they finish 7-3 in league play and tied
with exact record of Canisius (7-3) and they split the season
series with one win each. They would then play each other
in the 1st round (4pm Fri 3/4/94) of ECAC WEST at what looks
like a definite - host Elmira College (again).
If Mercyhurst loses - they finish tied with R.I.T. at
6-4 records. R.I.T. beat Mercyhurst twice in league
play and would be seeded 3rd and would then play
Canisius in the 4PM Friday game. Mercyhurst would
be seeded 4th and get Elmira in the 1st round.
All will become definite and clear after friday nite.
R.I.T. plays a non conference game at UMASS- Amherst
on this friday 2/25 to finish regular season.
Canisius plays a non conference 2 game set at Army
Friday nite and Sat. afternoon to finish regular
season.
.... that's all folks.

P.S. Who do you think might apply for the WCHA
commmissioner position - any good rumors out there ?
Also, any idea who might seek out Cornell A.D.
position ?
