Not to criticize Gordon, but to praise Shields...
 
  Could this shot differential have something to do with how a goalie calls
a game in net?  Some of the best goalies don't have to make many great saves
because they always let their defensemen know what they want them to do.  It
is possible that Shields simply directs the defense and breakouts better and
thus sees less action.
 
Just a thought/opinion.
