MTU 1-5-2 8

In a game that wasn't pretty or finessed, MTU managed to come from a 2
goal deficit in the first period to win its first road game this year.
Notre Dame jumped off to score within forty seconds of the opening
face off and dominated MTU during the first period, scoring another
goal midway. MTU was flat and the feet didn't move. But a power play
goal late in the period seem to spark their play.

The second period was all MTU. They scored 4 goals to make the score
6-2. But the Fighting Irish, true to their name came back during the
third to make it 6-5 and then MTU and Notre Dame traded goals until
the game ending score of 8-6.

3 Star player: MTU's Kyle Peterson who scored a hat trick
2 Star player: MTU's Mike Figliomeni, the littlest man on ice but plays like
               he is 6 foot 10
1 Star player: MTU's Randy Stevens who has a strained ankle. He sat out
two periods last night and his father stated that his
ankle is worse today than yesterday! He scored a goal and
gave the team a fine effort despite his pain.

It is good to see MTU scoring. I don't know what Mancini said at the end
of the 1st period but he should say it more often. Defensive play during
the third period slacked off though.
