I know the subject has come up before.  I beleive Maine has some of the best
raw talent ever assembled (I think this year's team could be better than last
year's).  But I don't think they are the best team in the country right now.
 
Maine hasn't really played a good second period all year.  We have seen some
incredible imaginitive play at times.  I believe Maine's defense is still
suspect.  Not because they can't play defense, only because the D can be
very lax at times.
 
Maybe those of us at Maine are comparing the talent displayed at the end of
last year to this year's team too prematurely and that's why we question our
ranking.
 
In two weeks we find out for sure how good Maine is now when BU comes to the
Alfond for two games.
