First off, since this will be my last posting of the (school year)
let me extend a thanks to all members of hockey-L for making this
a great list. Specifically, I'd like to single out: Wayne, Mike,
Bill, Carol, Erik and Jeremy Hall for various things too numerous
to mention, but I'd thought I'd at least mention their names. I think
most people know how much they contribute (Jeremy is a personal
thanks).

Anyways, I saw in this week's Sporting News (5/3) that there were
two letters criticizing TSN's lack of college hockey coverage. Below
are the letters in their entirity (reprinted w/o permission of course):

By Brian Temke of West Allis, WI:

"Congratulations for finally coming to your senses and giving us some
information on one of the most unheard of sports -- college hockey
(TSN, APril 5 and April 12). Yes, Paul Kariya did win the Hobey Baker
award but you left out the one important thing, who won the NCAA title.
For those who don't know, Maine defeated Lake Superior State, 5-4, in
the championship game."

By Tom MacDonald of Eustis, ME:
"Your lack of coverage of NCAA hockey -- one sentence in Larry Wigge's April
12 column-- is sickening. All games drew more than 17,000 fans in Milwaukee
and you ignore it. College hockey is a big time sport now and
should be treated accordingly."

...Just food for thought...
