I have to disagree with Ross Bracco's criticism of Rich Vehlow. Now,
...sort of. Now, while Rich's criticisms may have been "diatribe", it
doesnt justify harassing phone calls. Perhaps, Rich deserved to be flamed
on the net but a harassing phone call is out of line.

Ross wrote, "You'
re a good guy in real life, but your net image is a little rough around the
edges." Perhaps, but Rich did not hide when he made the criticism. He stood
up and was not afraid to be associated with that opinion. If one disagrees
with Rich, one should not be afraid to dispute Rich's comments.

Rich's personality is not the issue (if it were, i owuldnt be defending an
RIP fan :) The issue is, 'what is an appropriate response to a net posting'
A response via the net would seem to be appropriate. Even discussing the
issue with Rich face to face might be appropriate. Leaving gutless, anonymous
threatening phone calls is NOT appropriate in my book nor do I think it is
appropriate in the books of most hockey-L'ers.

(and Bob Gailbreath, I dont consider disgust with threatening phone
calls to be "petty bickering. There's not much that can prob be done about
it by anyone (except the perpetrator) on the list but I think it was
appropriate for Rich to report it)
