TWO CORSAIRS, ROLLI HONORED BY U.S. COLLEGE HOCKEY ONLINE

MINNEAPOLIS, MN– Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team and Head Coach John Rolli have been honored by United States College Hockey Online

Rolli was named USCHO.com NCAA Division III East Coach of the Year. Freshman goaltender Jon Dryjowicz-Burek (Ludlow, MA/Springfield Jr. Falcons) was named a USCHO.com East first team All-Star, and was also named to the East All-Rookie Team, while junior forward Kyle McCullough (Danvers, MA/Boston Jr. Blackhawks) was named an honorable mention East All-Star.

Dryjowicz-Burek ranked first in Division III with a save percentage of .941, was third in goals-against average at 1.73, and ranked sixth in winning percentage at .773. He started 23 of the Corsairs’ 30 games and was 17-5-0 with three shutouts. Dryjowicz-Burek led the ECAC Northeast in goals-against average, save percentage and winning percentage.

McCullough led both the Corsairs and the ECAC Northeast Conference in scoring with 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points in 30 games. In 83 games at UMass Dartmouth, he has 47 goals and 59 assists for 106 points. He ranked second nationally with four short-handed goals, and tied for 20th nationally with 1.53 points per game.

“It’s a tremendous honor, both for Jon to be recognized as the top goaltender in Division III in the east, and for Kyle to be recognized with honorable mention,” said Rolli. “Those individual awards are reflective of the season that our team had. The fact that Jon is a freshman and Kyle is a junior and that they’ll both be back for next year bodes well for the future.”
