There were no Divisions back then.  Everybody played "equally".  You get
some very strange looking scores and records from the early days.  The old
Tri State league (50's) had Clarkson, St. Lawrence, RPI, Middlebury and a
few others.

I'd almost like to see the NCAA separate records prior to 1948 (start of the
tournament) and after.  But when, exactly, does the "modern" era start for
college hockey?
