Holy cow! Five losses in seven games and things are not looking to bright
for my beloved Gophers. The most frustrating part is, outside of the
Friday night loss to North Dakota, the Gophers are playing pretty good
hockey. The last two losses to St Cloud (OT) and last night at Wisconsin
are real killers! The Gophers dominate the game and the few times the puck
leaves the opponents zone they score (i.e., St. Cloud 3 goals on 4 shots).

The boys are playing hard but they can't finish on the offensive end and
the defensive breakdowns are coming in bunchs. Also, DeBus can no longer
be compared to Robb Stauber! He hasn't made a truely BIG stop since maybe
the last time the Gophers played Wisconsin the first part of January.

One VERY big bright spot from Friday nights game was the butt-kicking Mike
Anderson put on the player (name ?) from Wisconsin! Man he rocked that guy
with some nice over-hand rights! For a guy that has done very little this
season, his showing in that fight raised his credibility about five
notches. This fight could be the boost the Gophers need in bring this team
together during VERY trying times.
