Ken Bell, sportscaster for WLNE TV-6 in Providence announced that "he has
learned" that Bob Gaudette (Gaudet?) head coach at Brown is the
frontrunner for the PC coaching position vacated by Mike McShane. It
seems that Brown has not gotten around to signing Gaudette to a new
contract.
Bell also reported that Time Army, asst. coach of the Mighty Ducks was
offered the job (or at least interviewed for it) but turned it down to
remain with the Ducks. Kurt Kleinendorst (sp?), former Friar, has been
rumored to be frontrunner, but is not even in the picture.
I apologise for the probable misspellings of the names, I am not a Friar fan.
There has been NOTHING in the paper about the PC situation since Bill
Reynold's comment that he believed that the program was going to be
downgraded.
