Clarkson shrugged off a sluggish period and a half to down an outmanned Yale
4-1.

yale played fairly well in the first period as their solid forechecking
frustrated an incoherent Golden Knights attack. They kept CU bottled up
for a large part of the period. No goals were scored and Yale outshot CU
11-10. In the 2nd period, the Knights got it going when Brian Mueller
blasted a shot past a screen Yale goalie Todd Sullivan. Clarkson, so far,
is undefeated when Mueller scores a goal. Six minutes later, Clarkson
broke out on a 2-on-1 when Dave Seitz made a nice pass to Chris Lipsett
who poked it past Sullivan for a 2-0 lead. After the second period, Clarkson
was leading 2-0 despite being outshot 23-22. However, the Golden knights
totally ruled the final period of play but not before Yale made it interesting.
On a power play to start the 3rd, Yale's Zoran Kozic put a rebound of a Martin
Leroux point shot past Clarkson goalie Jason Currie for a power play goal.
However, Clarkson sealed Yale's fate on a fluke goal. Mueller was breaking
down left wing and was near the boards. He tried a connect on a centering
pass to a rushing CU forward but apparently banked it off of Sullivan's leg
and into the net for a 3-1 lead. Steve Palmer blasted a Patrice Robitaille
centering pass past Sullivan for the final score. Yale was utterly demolished
in the 3rd period as all of Clarkson's passes were clicking

The Bulldogs didn't seem to get the bounces all game. Their offense
looked very disjoint and Sullivan was unable to repeat his superhuman
50 save performance of the last time the teams met.

Clarkson goes to 8-4-3 in the ECAC while Yale drops to 3-12 in the league.
Yale heads over to St Lawrence tommorow while CLarkson hosts Princeton.
