In answer to a question last night, the game is at 1:30 due to winter
carnival.... On to the sweeeeeping results! ;-)
HEEEEEEE's BAAAAAAAACK! ;-)
Senior defensman Darcy Martini added 2 goals to his goal and 4 assists last
night to earn The MVP of the winter carnival series as the MTU Huskies
sweep the series with ND by the score of 9-6. The last goal came on an
empty net shot by Jamie Steer, who on a clean breakaway skating for the net
Was hit with a 2 hand tomohawk chop from Dixon Ward just before he dropped
the puck into the net. Obviously a frustration hit, as Steer at that point
could have just let the puck slide into the net, Ward had no chance to stop
it, earned Ward a 5 minute major. MTU now sits all alone in 4th place in the
WCHA pending the outcome of the Wisconsin, UMD series. This hurts me to say
this but ....... GO BADGERS! ;-) MTU travels to Colorado College next weekend
No details but obviously alot of goals and assists were handed out! ;-)
