I live in southwest Ohio. College hockey is tough to get on TV without a dish.
Fortunately I have cable, and my cable provider has SportsChannel, which
(sometimes) carries Prime broadcasts. And I have a television schedule for
Primes' CCHA Game of the Week. So far out of four Prime telecasts, my
regional SportsChannel network has only carried only one game live at the
7:00 PM time and one at 3:00 AM. I guess I should be happy. Here's the
letter I sent to SportsChannel today. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

I am writing to convey my displeasure with your programming, particularly your
broadcasts of the Prime Network CCHA College Hockey Game of the Week,
supposedly aired some Fridays at 7:00 p.m. The following is an example of why
I am so upset with your service.
A few weeks ago, I checked my weekly TV listings and found the Michigan vs.
Michigan St. hockey game scheduled for broadcast on Friday, November 15 at 7:00
p.m. on my local SportsChannel provider. On the day of the game, I checked my
newspaper's daily TV listing and found the game was rescheduled for broadcast
on tape-delay at 3:00 a.m. the following morning. Preempting the game in the
original timeslot was sport "Talk". I checked my TV listing for this past
week's
game (Notre Dame at Michigan, Dec 6) and found that "Talk" had again
pre-empted the college hockey game. I ask you, who will (or can) stay up until
5 in the morning to watch a hockey game, no matter how interested a person may
be in the game?
In addition, replacing a college hockey game with "Talk," which, by the way,
should be a radio show, is a disgrace. College hockey is infinitely more
interesting and exciting than this bore of a show. As a fan of college
hockey and sports in general, I am upset and aggravated. In summary, I think
your programming is less than satisfactory.
On behalf of fellow hockey fans, I invite you to respond as to why you do not
currently air the college hockey game of the week at a reasonable time, and
whether you intend to do so in the future. I am aware that these games have
been aired at 7:00 p.m. in the past. I appreciate these occasions and would
like to see it done on a regular basis.
