Whether fans were throwing toilet paper, Power-Ade bottles (hey, I'd throw
em; Power-Ade bites), posters, or garage door openers, the act that they were
throwing objects onto the ice is deplorable in itself. I don't want to hear
any self-gratifying remarks from any Rod...er...Gopher fan because they are
too stupid to realize that paper doesn't inflict as much damage as a half-full
(note: I am an optimist) bottle.
Go ask any self-respecting Dodger fan their take on the ball-throwing
incident this past summer or even a Cub fan after the Randy Myers Poster Day
blunder last year; it is embarrassing for all involved.
Then again, I'd probably throw garbage onto the ice too if I realized I was
living in Minnesota. I'm out.
