NHL signings

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Boston Univ center and
1993-94 Hockey East scoring champ Mike Pomichter.  Chicago
has also signed LW Matt Oates...presumably the Matt Oates
from Miami Univ.  I don't have Pomichter's stats handy, but Oates
had 14-12--26 with 60 PIM in 33 games for Miami last year, his
junior season.  He was -8.
 
Also, the Buffalo Sabres have signed former Univ of Michigan
defenseman Todd Copeland.
 
And, lastly, from yesterday's transactions...Kent STATE has named
Jennifer Jones-Goodrich field hockey coach.  How special.
