The South Dakota State University Jackrabbits met the Northern State
University Wolves in club competition Friday night and Saturday morning
in Huron, SD after the Wolves' ice rink (Holum Expo Center) was closed
due to a freon leak.
 
NSU's Greg Swanson got the hat trick as NSU topped SDSU 6-3 on Friday.

The second line for the NSU team paved the way to a 7-4 victory over
SDSU on Saturday.  Five of the Wolves' seven goals were scored by that
line.  The Wolves had a 4-2 lead after the first period, but SDSU came
back with two goals in the second to slice the lead to 5-4.  Goals by
Tighe Ransom and Greg Swanson sewed up the victory.
 
Goalie Kirk Zastoupil made 26 saves out of 30 shots on goal by SDSU,
including stuffing three breakaways in the third period.
 
The Wolves play Dordt College (IA) next weekend in Worthington, MN.
