This is a list of all Division I teams and radio stations that broadcast
some or all of their games. You'll notice some additional information,
such as wattage and coverage area. The higher the wattage, usually the
higher the coverage area. The purpose of this info is to help you know
what your chances are for picking up some of these station with an
average radio. Coverage areas vary *greatly* between stations. Some
games are on AM stations that reduce their power sharply at sunset
(to comply with federal law) and others are on school-supported,
non-commercial FM stations with traditionally low powers. Basically,
there's a huge difference between a station like WRPI, with 10,000 watts
and a 75-mile coverage area, and Northeastern's WRBB, with 19 watts
and the coverage area of a few blocks near the campus. With this info,
hopefully you'll be able to guess which stations you have a shot at getting
if you're at an away game or just passing through an area near one of
the school. Anyway, I hope this helps, and enjoy!

Bowling Green: WBGU 88.1 FM 454w / serves Bowling Green area
WBVI 96.7 FM 3000w / serves Fostoria, OH

Ferris State: WBRN 100.9 FM 6000w / serves Big Rapids, MI area

Illinois-Chicago: WAUR 930 AM 2500w / serves Sandwich, IL area
WKTA 1330 AM 5000/17w serves Evanston, IL area
WCGO 1600 AM 1000/23w serves Chicago Heights, IL
                        * * * Note * * * WKTA and WCGO sharply reduce their
operating powers at night, making them more difficult
to pick up. They must do this so as to not interfere
with other stations on the same frequency because
AM radio waves travel farther at night. From now on,
a designation such as 5000/17w means the station
runs at 5000 watts during the day, but reduces to
only 17 watts at night. This greatly effects the
                        listening area.
