To everyone on HOCKEY-L much better at math than I:
 
   I *knew* I'd get into trouble trying to make jokes about math with so
many mathematicians (and their ilk) on the List :-(  Mea maxima culpa for
misappropriating the "Golden Ratio" sobriquet for pi/1 instead of its
*true* meaning - I probably knew that at one time, but it's clear that
that particular memory register has long since been re-written with
something I'll probably forget just as quickly :-)  I promise - no more
math jokes !!

P.S. Wayne - I'm sorry for having dragged HOCKEY-L into this :-(
 
P.P.S.  The reference to RPI was meant to be another "joke" regarding one
        of several RPI (for want of a better term) fight songs that have
        as a concluding verse "3.14159 ...."  No dig was intended re: the
        quality of math education at RPI ....
