Richards IHL's top defenseman

Former Gophers star Todd Richards, who plays for the Las Vegas Thunder, was
named the IHL's outstanding defenseman for the 1994-95 season.
 
Richards, 28, a Crystal (MN) native who was a second-team all-league selection
in 1993-94, was fifth in scoring among IHL defensemen this season with a
career-high 61 points (12 goals, 49 assists). He was an All-America selection
as a Minnesota senior in 1989.
