After being presented with the Broadmoor Trophy the Badgers skated
over and handed the trophy to Mike Leckrone director of the Varsity Band.
Mike held up the trophy, to the Wisconsin fans delight, and proceeded to
hug the trophy while the rest of the awards were distributed.  The Team has
never handed the trophy to Mike before.  The Varsity Band felt very honored
by the team's acknowledgement of the it's importance.  I would also like to
thank the great fan support we had in St.  Paul.  There was much applause
after every song we played and plenty of good comments about the band made
to me personally after both games.
