ECAC Player-of-the-week:
Brown:  Nan Gorton, JR, F  (Wellesley, MA)
The Brown Bears were 2-0 this week, improving to 5-0 in the league,
and were helped by the efforts of the speedy junior.  Gorton scored one
goal and an assist against Harvard and two goals and two assists on PC.
 
ECAC Rookie-of-the-week:
Providence:  Meghan Smith, FR, G  (Bangor, ME)
Faced 35 shots but hung tough under pressure to help her team to a 3-3
tie with Northeastern.  Smith has a .914 save percentage and a 2.75
goals against average for the Friars.

ECAC NEWS:
Brandy Fisher of UNH had an outstanding week scoring 3 goals and 5
assists.  Princeton goalie Liz Hill recorded her second and third
career shutouts by helping to defeat Yale 7-0 and Harvard 3-0.  Dagan
Klein of Bowdoin made 64 saves in a 19-1 loss to UNH.  Stephanie
O'Sullivan figured in all the scoring for PC in their 3-3 tie with NU.
The senior attacker had 2 goals and 1 assist.  UNH's Wendy Tatarouns
scored 3 goals in an 8-1 win over BC, and 4 goals and 3 assists in a
win over the Bowdoin Polar Bears.  Christa Calagione of Harvard had
2 goals in a 7-5 loss to Brown.
