First of all, congratulations to LSSU for a superb tournament. To
defeat the teams they did in a row like that is no easy task

I believe that Michigan does deserve to be in the top 4. In fact, I
believe that they are the best team in the nation. I am pretty sure
they had the best record of any division I school. During the regular
season, they swept LSSU, and then defeated them 3-0 in the CCHA playoff
final. When I saw the NC$$ tournament pairings, I became extremely
worried. It is almost impossible to defeat a team of LSSU's ability
five times in a row in one season. Back in November, Michigan defeated
Minnesota fairly easily, 6-1 (this score may not be exact). Yes, this
game was early in the season, but those games count too and it was the
only time they met this season. As for Boston U and Harvard, I guess we
will never be certain who is better because they never played. The best
way to compare them is by looking at games against common opponents.
The only one which comes to my mind right now is LSSU. There may be
others which I am forgeting about. As for Colorado College, I was
shocked that they didn't make it into the tournament. I believe their
play during the season speaks for itself. As for rankings, I rate them
as follows: 1. Michigan
             2. LSSU Please remember that these are
             3. BU only my opinions, and as we saw
             4. Harvard this year on hockey-l, opinions
             5. Minnesota vary
             6. Colorado College
             7. Mass-Lowell
