The Ferris State Bulldogs held off the University of Maine Black
Bears with an insurance goal late in the third period to stifle
Maine's hopes of a come-from-behind win at Maine's Alfond Arena
Saturday night.
 
                      Bulldogs 5, Black Bears 3
 
                        Ferris  3  0  2  -  5
                        Maine   0  2  1  -  3
 
Maine falls to 9-6, while Ferris improves to 7-12.
