Here is a handy-dandy listing of this weekend's action. I even left
space for you to write in the scores as you get them (from HOCKEY-L).
 
There are some interesting match-ups this weekend, as 15 of the 39
games are non-conference. Three Canadian universities will be bringing
their flag south. Mankato & UAH (perhaps the best two teams in Division II)
will be taking on Division I foes. Both Alaska teams host again (must be
nice to play at home so often). Four ECAC teams begin their season, with
two hosting Providence and two hosting New Hampshire.
 
In the CCHA, I am looking forward to seeing Kent twice. If Notre Dame
can earn a point against the Lakers, they should be very happy. If Miami
can get at least a split at Munn, I'll start to believe last year was no
fluke. They won once last year there, after losing 7 straight (2 shutouts)
in East Lansing before that. Michigan/WMU could get bloody...
 
In the WCHA, can CC get their first win while Buetow is suspended? Next week
vs. Denver or later against Air Force look like better bets. Tech and Denver,
two mild surprises at 2-0, take on similarly-surprising North Dakota and
St Cloud (respectively), who both earned a split against tough road opponents.
NMU has another pair on the road and Wiscosnin another pair at home.
 
Should be some scary action this weekend.
