The Brown Bears locked up sole possession of 2nd place in the ECAC
standings with a pulsating 6-4 win over the Yale Bulldogs this evening at
Meehan Auditorium.
The Bears rallied twice to erase two-goal Eli leads during the first two
periods before junior forward Brent Robinson (2 powerplay goals; 2assists)
scored the winning marker at 16:33 of the middle stanza. Senior forward
Chris Legg added an unassisted insurance tally at 0:24 of the final period
to provide the final margin of victory.
Brown's outstanding junior goaltender, Yann Danis, stood tall in the
final period and shut down the Yale offense without a score to preserve the
crucial victory. Danis made a game total of 28 saves. Peter Cohen (39:58)
and Josh Gartner (17:50) combined to stop 19 Bear shots.
