(I assume we're talking about Mees and Norton)  Well, I would tend to agree
with you about Mees -- I imagine that his insistence on saying "Boston U"
annoyed every Hockey East fan.  But I assure you, Bob Norton most definitely
knows college hockey.  For those that don't know, Norton is the regular color
guy for NESN's Hockey East broadcasts.  I'm sure he's not quite as familiar
with the western teams, but he seemed to know quite about about LSSU last
night.  I find that Norton is very good at identifying the little things
(mistakes or good plays) that lead to a goal or scoring chance.  Last night
in the LSSU-BU game he showed how Dan Donato's mistake in not forcing a Laker
player wide at the blueline lead to an LSSU goal.  It's the little things
like that that make him a good announcer.

P.S.  Many years ago (help me out, Jim :-), Norton was an assistant coach at
      UNH.  He currently has a son on the UNH team (though he doesn't play
      much).
