Sunday afternoon Harvard beat cornell 6-0.

Here is an incomplete listing of the harvard scorers [the PA announcer
wasn't very loud]

At the end of the first period it was 1-0 Harvard. I got there after the
goal was scored and no one around me knew who got it.

Harvard increased their lead to 2-0 early in the first when Holly Leitzes
tucked home a rebound. Then Francie Walton added two more goals, one of
which was a very nice shot from the point. Stacy Kellogg [from Francie
Walton and Holly Leitzes] closed out the scoring in the second with a power
play goal. Cornell Had a good offensive flurry at the end of the second,
but once again, noone could knock a loose puck into the net.

Midway through the 3rd Harvard made it 6-0 with a goal from Alexis Boyle.
In goal for the Red was Katy Ehmann and Erin Villiote played most of the
game between the pipes for harvard. Whitney Smith replaced Villiote with
just under 5 min left.

I was impressed by Allison Mleczko and Joey Alissi. Both of these forwards
played a very physical game and do a good job grinding the puck out of the
corners. This made it difficult for cornell to get the puck out of their
own zone.

Cornell's next game is this wednesday @ Lynah vs. RIT. RIT beat them4-3 on
January 19th, but it looks like the women do have a good chance of earning
their second victory of the season on wednesday.
