WPI's club hockey team started the new year right with two big wins.  The
return of goalie Kraig Moodie and captain John Macklin was a big lift for
the engineers.  On Friday the 14th WPI came from behind twice to defeat
Mohawk Junior College of Utica, New York 5-4.  Matt Pelkey scored the go
ahead goal on a breakaway with less than 2 minutes left.  On Sunday the 16th
WPI hosted the Midshipmen of Navy.  WPI took the lead from the beginning,
but the Midshipmen just kept on coming back.  With about 5 minutes left in
the game WPI's Chuck Leonard scored WPI's 6th goal to ice the win.  The
final score WPI 6 Navy 4.  With these two wins WPI increased their record to
4-7 on the year.  They resume league play with a game against MIT this
Friday the 21st.
