 Gopher goalie Tom Newman was named WCHA Co-Player of the Week for holding
 North Dakota to four goals in last weekend's sweep of the Sioux. Newman shared
 honors with Colorado College goalie Paul Badalich, who stopped 55 of 60 shots
 against Denver and helped the Tigers secure fourth place in the league.
 
 Newman, a junior from Blaine, Minn., recorded a pair of 28 save efforts last
 weekend and now has stopped 97 of 103 shots in going 4-0 the last two weeks.
 HOWEVER, regular goaltender Jeff Stolp will replace Newman ( :-( ) for the
 first-round WCHA playoff series with North Dakota this weekend.
