For a great article on both UNO and Omaha hockey fans goto the following
link to Eric Olson's weekly UNO/college hockey column:

http://www.omaha.com/OWH/StoryView/1,1344,76249,00.html

or if that doesn't work (I've heard some OWH links mess up when copy/pasted...)
goto

http://www.omaha.com/OWH/Sports

and either click on "Eric Olson: Fans want more from 2-14 Mavs" or "21-day
archive" and find the headline there.

As much as some of you point out Omaha's lack of knowledge about college
hockey as a whole, I think some of you don't understand Omaha's sports fans,
either. We're not exactly your stereotypical fan base, though I don't think
we're as bandwagoning as Olson suggests, either. (though it's closer than I
want to admit)

Another Nebraska hockey note: Lancers owner Ted Baer looks to be leading a
group to get a 3rd USHL team in the Cornhusker state - this one in the
western part of the state near the tri-city area of Grand Island, Kearney,
and Hastings.
