Before I start let me just say that last night I said, "This is not
the same team that lost to Harvard." With that, we lost.

Cornell 3 1 0--4
RPI 2 1 0--3

SHOTS
-----
Cornell 7 14 6--27
RPI 11 8 12--32

GOALIES
-------
Cornell, Duffus: 32 shots, 29 saves
RPI, Little: 27 shots, 23 saves

We were busy gawking at John Elway (but that would be another mailing list)
so we got to the Houston Field House about 10 minutes late. Hmm... 2-2.
Gonna be some game... It was. I was literally on the edge of my seat for
quite a bit of it. RPI was playing (IMHO) quite well. At 17:09 in the
first period Dan Vaillant was given a 5-minute major penalty for boarding.
Cornell promptly scored, but since it was a major--we stayed shorthanded.
I really wonder how the game would've gone if Ammian called it a double
minor, as RPI really seemed to lose momentum. The third period had me
sure that we were going to take it into overtime. Buddy Powers pulled
Neil Little, and some of the near misses nearly had me in tears.

With this loss RPI falls to 3-5 in the ECAC, and 7-8 overall. They
face Hockey East's UNH on Tuesday night.

I hate to say it, but maybe we could use a pep band (though if you've
ever heard their Ex-Lax cheer you'd doubt it...) as the RPI fans only
got really organized for the Bee. When Section 1 (Cornell) started
doing their Alma Matter it really made RPI look pretty bad. Yeah,
we had a small group doing ours, but...

In conclusion, if RPI keeps playing like this, they may just finish the
season in pretty good shape.

Oh, BTW, someone asked about NCAA finals tickets at the Knick.
They announced that they're on sale at the Knick box office. I believe
the Knick goes through TicketMaster.

"How'd you get that Cray II to run slower than my old C-64?"
"Oh, that took a bit of doing. Take a look at /bin/session"
